Sarah is a Director, Choreographer, Movement Director, Teacher, and Movement and Intimacy Practitioner in theatre for the stage. She has an MFA in Movement: Directing and Teaching through The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a research emphasis on embodied linguistics. She also trains annually with Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE). Sarah grew up studying ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, and partnering work. Over the past two decades, she has journeyed from the 'dancer who acted' to the 'physical actor who could tell stories with their body' to shepherding others to tell stories with the instrument of their body. Sarah's time in London took her backgrounds in theatre, dance, and choreography, and began transforming those separate skills into one of a movement specialist for both the classroom and stage. She strives to empower actors to take a holistic, embodied, and collaborative approach to the creative process. Past shows: Macbeth (Director, Movement Director), She Loves Me (Director), Liberators, an American Musical (World Premiere: Director and Choreographer), Gideon and the Blundersnorp (Co-Director, Choreographer), Newsies (Choreographer), Little Shop of Horrors (Choreographer), Seussical (Choreographer), The Fantasticks (Choreographer). sarahsneesby.com
